  2. Eat grapefruit – Grapefruits have been known to speed up metabolism (and therefore burn fat) when you eat them. Unfortunately, the grapefruit diet took this to the extreme and said to eat nothing but that, which is not healthy. Having a grapefruit once or twice a day for breakfast or a snack gives you a one two punch.
  3. Eat beans – If you want to diet to lose belly fat, don’t forget the legumes. There are all sorts of beans so you can choose one that meets your tastes: black beans (use in salsa or dips), pinto beans, navy beans, Northern beans, kidney beans and the like. Beans are an excellent source of fiber and protein without all the added fat.
  4. Fiber fruits – Think apples and pears. They have plenty of fiber when eaten raw and that is good for the body’s metabolism. All that crunching not only keeps the doctor away but is harder to digest, requiring more energy.

There are foods that can be added to your diet to lose belly fat. Eating them will help you take in fewer calories and also utilize extra energy to process them so that you burn fat and uncover your six pack abs faster.
